Siobhan response to this honor:
“I am honored to be selected as an Official Delegate for the United Nations in the upcoming Commission on the Status of Women!
This is so exciting; I will be able to give a voice to women who have NO voice in the impoverished countries and areas that OneMama.org and I represent as a Global Partner. I have never been so excited about something in my life!!!
I saw the vision of all the women I work with in Africa and Mama Jamira getting a chance to have a voice in a way like never before. This gives our communities a place to communicate their concerns and help in create policy and change on a WORLD stage.”

We are no longer working out of mud huts! When Siobhan first visited what would become the OneMama Clinic site in Uganda, midwife Mama Jamira delivered babies on the floor of a mud hut without basic medical supplies or sanitation. Can you imagine your sister, mother, or loved one giving birth in such conditions? See how far we’ve come in our latest Global Giving Report.
OneMama.org has been named an Official United Nations partner! We couldn’t be more excited to work with the Women’s Intercultural Network to be a voice of advocacy for women all over the world. OneMama.org founder, Siobhan Neilland has already attended her first UN delegate meeting this month in preparation for the United Nations Conference in March: “I want to be a voice for the disempowered” Let’s fight for joy on a global stage!by
